WVU News is an Emmy award-winning college newscast produced by television students at the WVU Reed College of Media. Executive producer is Gina Dahlia.

Mountaineer Playbook is a sports magazine show focused on everything sports-related at West Virginia University. Produced by television journalism students at the WVU Reed College of Media. Executive producer is Gina Dahlia.

Highlights of the Sept. 5 Parade include the Robert C. Byrd and Liberty High School Band, Mitzi Lane Studio, Bridgeport Drum Line, Studio for the Performing Arts, North Central Athletics, In-Step, and various dignitaries.

07:46     2015 DANCING WITH THE STARS:
Highlights include Dancers Ron Pearse and Emily Gallagher, Michael Angelucci and Cathy Reed Vanata, Thomas Board and Gretchen Ross, Will Drennen and Whitney Hatcher, Nick Fantasia and Jessica Sell, Dale Dzielski and Sheena Beto. Choreographers were Teresa Sestito, Sally Morgan, Gina Lodge DeLorenzo, Brian Faulkner, Erin Taylor and Kristi Kiefer. Judges were Dr. Rosemary Thomas, Wendy Welty-Fetsko, and Frank Wood. Rudy and Ginger Zaccagnini were the feature dancers. Nikki Osbourne of the United Way and Tina Shaw of the Chamber hosted the event. The mc's for the Oct. 17th event were Lauren Talotta and Dr. Bob Mild.

Two former Band directors offer comments: WF Barry Vingle & Earl McConnell of East Fairmont. Becky Wade, WF Band Boosters President, introduces them.

Highlights includes interviews with vendors John Drennen, 72 Hours Preparedness Kit; Megan Nieman, Crossroads Property Rescue; Stacy Smith, Miss Teacup; Allen Harris, Mon County Amateur Radio Club interviewed by Kip Price; Ken Miller, Darcia Tippets, Shari Drennen, Delores Harsh, Carol Licata, Lanette Six, and Brad Six, Outdoor Iron Kettle Cooking; Kirt Drennen & Aidan Pickens, Scouts; "Patches" by Sabrina Haught & Joe Masturzo, Officer of Communications, Division of Homeland Security & Emergency. Highlights include discussion with Kenneth Satterfield, a Veteran and VFW officer, pictures of the many memorial plaques and engravings surrounding the plaza, and the story of Miss Liberty that was moved from the American Legion Building to the VFW Building 12:00 COUNTY COMMISSION 09/16/15 Highlights includes Palatine Park upgrades with a power point walking trail, Ronnie Jones and Matheny presenting County Commission with plaque for supporting Mannington Classic Car Program, Jackie Fitch requesting $3,000 for Feast of Seven Fishes Presentation, and Chris McIntire discussing letting of bids for major improvements on the emergency systems of 9-1-1 and Homeland Security.

03:24     COUNTY COMMISSION:    10/21/15
Highlights include tabling the hiring of a Case Aide for Day Report Center, giving $500 for the Coal Mine Swap Meet sponsored by the Northern Appalachian Coal Mining Heritage Association (NACMHA) to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Knights of Columbus in Fairmont, listening to a request from the North Marion Track Group to assist with the track upgrades, and hearing Commissioner Ernie Van Gilder concerns over excessive spending by governmental agencies for employment, staff, travel, and operations.

Highlights of the Oct. 2-4, 2015 event shows gatherings at various places, three songs by the Madrigals, directed by Greg DeVito, in the Fairmont Senior High Auditorium, pictures by Gary Earp, and scrapbook memories from Deborah DeGarmo Long.

Highlights of the Aug. 20 City Candidate Manager Forum where Robin Gomez was one of four who, along with the other candidates, answered 7 questions addressed by members of the community, dealing with job, sales, students, animal shelters, pension funds, Peg Access TV, and making Fairmont great.

05:14     WILLIAM "SPORT" HOLLOWAY
Highlights of this 94 year old Marion County WWII African-American veteran is interviewed in his house. He is one of three survivors

05:27     WOMEN'S NETWORK:
The third Marion County Chamber of Commerce's Women's Network Expo was held Sept. 10 2015 at the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center. This year's theme was "Reach Inside and Seek Excellence." Interviews featured the main speaker, Kay Goodwin, Governor Tomblin's Cabinet Secretary for Arts Education and the Arts; Tina Shaw, executive director, MCCC, and Mary Jo Thomas, who spoke on heart disease while presenting a cute power point show from the book by Suzie Toronto called, The Sacred Sisterhood of Wonderful and Wacky Women." We'll look at the tables where 7 workshops were held.

Highlights of the first WV Coal Miner's Appreciation Day Swap Meet includes interviews with Matthew Kline (Singer, author, and activist); Carol Thorn, President Everettville Historical Association discussing the April 30, 1927 explosion that killed 111; Danielle Petrak: Curator: Royce Watts WVU Museum; Trudy Lemley on Carolina Mine and her book "Life in a Northern WV Coal Mine Town;" Raven Thomas, AmeriCorps Vista worker with the Marion Co. Historical Society; and Colin Gatland, co-founder of Eastern Mining Collectors Association (EMCA)
