7:00 pm - Top Ten Stories of 2010
These stories are all seen through the eyes of TV19. They are (1) Elections and Politics. The Primary Candidate Forum will show excerpts from Sen. Mike Oliverio & Rep. David McKinley; Senator Robert Byrd’s death, funeral, and the succession issue; and Secretary of State’s Natalie Tennant video. Governor Manchin is interviewed over the negativism of the Senatorial race. 103 year old Margaret Decker is interviewed on her early voting. Mayor Matt Delliagtti is interviewed on his years of service in City Government. (2) I-79 Gateway Connector is seen with the roundabout featured. (3) Passage of the Marion County School Bond. A portion of the special video is presented with the main points being emphasized. (4) Storm Water Sewer Information to the People of Marion County through the City of Fairmont. The work of the city is portrayed through this informational video and power point to show the compliance with federal Government and EPA that other cities have not done. David Sago and Mike DeMary narrated this video. (5) Dealing with Racism in the City. The result was the historic discovery of the first football game played between an all white and black school in 1954 in Fairmont that occurred without violence or incident, set amidst a week in which a week of tension, injunctions, and threats. (6) Work of Non-Profits, especially the United Way. The main highlight was the motivational speech of Mary Lou Retton at the 2010 kickoff Breakfast. (7) 2010 Fairs, Festivals, and Fun in Fairmont: Three Rivers Festival, Johnny Johnson Festival, Fish Fest, and Feast of the Seven Fishes. (8) Interviews: Among the people highlighted were Dr. Doreen Larson, new President of the Pierpont Community and Technical College. She is seen as narrator of the YMCA Come Back Program and dancing with her husband at an United Way function. Dr. Blair Montgomery, outgoing Pierpont Community and Technical College President is interviewed. Oliver Luck, new WVU athletic director, is interviewed as clips of the 1981 Peach Bowl is seen. And Nick Saban is seen discussing his lessons he learned from Coach Earl Keener of Monongah as a 15 year old quarterback. (9) “Fuzzy” Knight. George Ramsey narrates this piece of Fairmont native and Hollywood star Fuzzy Knight. Vintage film clips are shown from 28 of his over 300 movies. (10) Most Memorable Moment of 2010. It was the story by Rev. Ellen Finegan, minister at Central United Methodist church, on the necessity of supporting the Christmas Toy Shop.

This features a dinner and dance, Interviews and a Memorial Service. The highlight of the dinner and dance is the speech given by Lawrence Harton. Rev. Robert “Ted” Buckner provides the video on these programs as well as much of the original editing. He also interviews many of the people attending.

12:14 am - Rev. Larry Buckland: Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe
Larry will discuss his new sermon topic, “10 Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe.” He will discuss myths about how faith can bring success, wealth, and a shield from illness and death. He will also discuss the yearly Booth Festival for food that is generated by youth and many churches in the Fairmont area.

12:30 am - 2008 Dunbar Reunion
As part of Black History Month these programs are intended to capture a glimpse back into Dunbar’s life and history. A special feature of this program is the 1998 interview with Horace “Happy” Belmear, famed football and basketball coach at Dunbar High School

Highlights are Subdivision Regulations Of Fairmont City Code, Part 13, Planning And Zoning Code for a Filing And Review Of Minor Subdivisions Procedure; Mutual Aid and MOU Agreement By, Between And Among parties To The West Virginia Region 2 Maritime Task Force; Credit Card Program for City Officials, and appointments to the Fairmont Planning Commission, Sanitary Sewer Board, and Transit Authority.

This program is designed for our health, home, family, food, and finances. Among issues are Cellular Phone Use, your weight, 100 Inspirations, Internet News, Ski Safety, Get Fit in a Minute, Dental Doings, Test Your Baby’s IQ, and entertaining oddities (watches and clock oddities).

Among issues in this segment are identity theft, green tea, age appropriate toys, fire hazards, reducing heating costs, burning calories, tech talk, money management, entertaining oddities (words). An example is “Underground” is the only word in the English language that begins and ends with the letters “und” and no words rhyme with orange, silver, purple, or month.

4:23 am - Rev. Aslam Barkat on Middle East Conflict
Rev. Aslan Barkat, minister at Faith United Methodist Church and a Middle East Native from Pakistan will discuss the trouble in the Middle East from both a patriotic and faith position. His insight provides an understanding of Muslim and Christian Tensions in Pakistan and in the Middle East. Rev. Aslan will also discuss his Fairmont American connection since 1970. He will share much about his life, believes, family, church life, and prejudices.

4:38 am - Barrackville After School Program
Rev. W. Scott Ingleton is interviewed and highlights of the “Bison for Christ” After School Program is shown, featuring volunteers helping, children singing, snack sharing, and sanctuary teaching.

4:59 am - Morningstar Baptist Church, February 20, 2011
This program was held Feb. 20, 2011. It consists of music, a sermon, and 3 interviews. Two songs from the Praise Gathering begin the service, scripture and sermon follows, and portions of three additional songs are offered. This is the final installation of the four historic African American churches in the Greater Fairmont Council of Churches. Sermon is “5 Priorities of Pure Religion: Personal, Purifying, Positive, Powerful, and Performance.” Dr. Elizabeth Dooley reads the Marion County Commission Umojah Voices of Joy Proclamation for Feb 13, 2011. Three persons are interviewed: Mary Tate, Dr. Elizabeth Dooley, and Rev. Wesley Q. Dobbs.
