Celebrating its goal of $325,000 this luncheon honored companies and Individuals who contributed. The keynote address was given by Dr. Thomas Krepel, only a few hours into his job as President of Fairmont State University.

Highlight included the Resolution Of The Council For The City Of Fairmont Recognizing The Need For And Endorsing A Long Term Project To Reduce And Control Unaccounted For Water And To Stabilize Water Rates And Further Requesting That The Staff Of The Public Service Commission Of West Virginia Consider this Project And Recommend Project Rates As Part Of The City Of Fairmont’s Current Pending Rate Case, Being PSC W.VA. Case No. 09-0171-W-MA Styled City Of Fairmont, a Public Utility, Municipal Appeal.

This meeting highlights the water crisis and features Dave Sago, Utility Manager, explaining the history of Fairmont’s water transportation system. This was also the meeting where the Resolution Of The Council For The City Of Fairmont Appointing A City Manager For The City Of Fairmont was adopted, and John I. Rogers III was selected.
