Presenters and Awardees included Tiffany Walker Samuels and Rev. Larry and Jessica Collins; Taylor Downs, Esq. and Tim Manchin, Esq.; Shonnet Kingston and Natalie Tennant; Tincey Holloway and Diamond Brown; Dr. Rosemary Thomas Ed.D and Mary Jo Thomas. Greater Fairmont Council of Churches' trip to Charleston on March 28th to meet with our county legislators are shown; meeting Governor Jim Justice; talking with Fairmont native Joey Garcia, Senior Counsel for legislation and policy; and having lunch with Rev. Jeff Allen, Executive Director of the WV Council of Churches. Rev. Elise Neal of First Presbyterian gave a passionate comment on the "New Normal." Tommy Thompson drove the Fairmont/Marion County Transit bus and 8 people went.

Highlights include a proposed Police pay and retirement plan for new hires that would be 8% less than the present plan. Speaking against were Police officers, Chief Steve Shines, Sergeant David McGlone, and Officer Thad Hall. Council members tabled the ordinance until further discussion. Kristin Rife, Executive Director, OIC, also spoke under citizens' petition. Life UMC received approval to locate to the High Tech Park as a church due to revised ordinance of companies located there. Various public hearings were approved that will involve increases on permits and building items.

A new program every Tuesday and Thursday at Wallman Hall combines Veterans, primarily with PTSD, with guitar playing under FSU School of Fine Arts. Billy Trivett, Chapter Organizer, approached Dr. Bob Mild, Fine Arts Chairman of FSU, about this program. Brian Wright, Temporary Assistant Professor of Music, helped with the coordination. Kyle Stevens, FSU Student Instructor and WV National Guard, assists with the program also, People who comment of the program are Fred Richards, Sharon Davis, Tom Willis. A Festival will be held May 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Wallman Hall Theatre.

Doing Treatment & Recovery Support in Rural & Frontier Communities: About 46.2 million people in the United States (14 percent of the population) lived in non-metropolitan (rural) communities in 2015. The nation's rural and frontier communities face some challenges when addressing behavioral health conditions and gaining access to treatment and recovery services-including an insufficient number of specialist providers. However, these communities have developed and applied creative approaches to provide access to treatment and recovery supports for residents of rural and frontier communities. Panelists will discuss these issues, and review the challenges faced. They also address the special considerations of Native American/American Indian communities in rural areas. One of the panelists is Mary Aldred Crouch, Manager of Substance Abuse Treatment Service: Cabin Creek Health System: President Elect of the WV Association of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Counseling, Milton.
