Highlights of "Dancing with the Stars" held Oct. 15, 2016 at FSU are shown. Dancers who participated were Lyla Grandstaff and Evan Kliethermes; Sally Morgan & Robin Gomez; Susan Riffle and Adam Grubler; Nikki Bowmar and Andy Shaw; Anita Stevens and Budd Sapp; and Emily Swain and Gary Jack. Choreographers were Teresa Sestito, Gina Lodge DeLorenzo, Sally Morgan, Gretchen Ross, Brian Faulkner, Erin Taylor and Robin Moore. Judges were Dr. Rosemary Thomas, Kristi Kiefer, and Jason Pizatella. Nikki Osbourne of the United Way and Tina Shaw of the Chamber hosted the event. The mc's for the evening were Melissa Murray and Dr. Bob Mild

07:08     Coal Mine Swap Meet: Dec. 5, 2015- 50:33
Planned and produced by Northern Appalachian Coal Mining Heritage Association (NACMHA), headed by Mike Rohaly President; and Cheriè Coogle, Executive Director, the meet featured interviews with vendors Mike and Linda Mostardi; Ruthann Smith of the Mountain Dragon Mazery; Brice Rush, Harry "Red" Brewer, Justin Fairchild of Black Coal Gold Crafts, John Konat, Colin Gatland of Eastern Mining Collectors Association, Jim Kelley of Batton Hollow Winery in Lost Creek and Louis Birurakis: Scott's Run Volunteer. Also interviewed were Dora Kay Grubb, President, Marion County Historical Society and Royal Watts, volunteer

Music is shown from Mon County Elementary Chorus of 1996, Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church 2000 choir singing "Silent Night" with Nutter Fort images, Central United Methodist Church singing on the Courthouse Steps for the Christmas Program of 2006, and a portion of the Presbyterian Choir cantata of Dec. 2010

Highlights include a variety of topics such as health, education and safety issues. Each segment is 30-60 seconds long and deals with such things as heart health, Rod Carew, Water tips, cruise, and pointers on pills. The entertainment oddities for August are Spice and herbs.

Petition from Camila Hermosilla on paving alleyway and Deloris Spatafore, owner of Fairmont Arts & Antique Marketplace, on loitering and language on Adams St were shared. Troop 7, Pleasant Valley Boy Scouts viewed Council. 5 ordinances adopted concerning rezoning, boundary changes, and demolition was presented.

Highlights include recognizing the Fairmont Bull Dogs players and cheerleaders with representatives Diamond Brown, Coach Washington & Colyn Jones. The Fairmont Catholic Love and Peace Robotic Team were also recognized. Salaries and Garbage increase rates were approved by majority vote under Budget revision; A grant to purchase a (GIS) system Identifying Historic Resources In Fairmont was approved with Rob Linger pointing out important considerations in purchasing and using it. Council repealed The Policy for Soliciting Applicants for Possible Appointment to City Boards and Commissions Adopted May 24, 2016, As Amended by Resolution Adopted July 12, 2016.

Highlights include request for funding for the 4th annual Coal Mine SWAP meet and the appropriation of $1,000 for the event, the relocation of precincts for the general election, and Charlie Reese's update on good news

Highlights include Leadership Marion seeking funding for "Spring into Action," Russell Garrett discussing cat concerns in his area. Kip Price discusses a Christmas Tree Project in the Courthouse to honor Marion County Veterans. A resolution for "WV State Medicaid Program" was read and passed.

Highlights included Amy Baker of Main Street Fairmont requesting funding for Feast of 7 Fishes; Tony Michalski of MCPRC is introducing Anthony Parker as a staff person; and Jamie Moore reporting for the Marion County Health Department. Ernie VanGilder expressed appreciation for expansion of Bombardier with training and hiring of more people.

Highlights include antics of a game between local Fairmonters and a traveling group called Harlem Ambassadors to support the United Way of Marion County. The Live United team was comprised of Joe Woods, Mike Parrish, Katie Nunan, Dr. Johnny Moore, Steve Leach, Daron Washington, Eddie Snider, Terrence Hill, George Levitsky, Ronnie Moorehead, Ashley Reed, Josh Yeager, Ronnie Nuzum and Ron Straight. The game's referees were Philip Fetty, Rick Garcia and Mike Gillespie. Honorary coaches were Mike Arcure, Joe Retton and John Veasey as well as Mark Hoffman.

Highlights includes introductions, invocation by DD Meighen, comments by Sarah Anderson Tucker, Chancellor, WV Community & Technical College System, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, President Dr. Johnny M. Moore, Pierpont Community & Technical College, Holley C. Kaufman, President First Energy, WV Operations and WV US Senator Joe Manchin III, followed by ribbon cutting. Interview follows with Jim Estep, Pres. and Chief Executive Officer of the High Technology Foundation and a brief tour of the building following the ribbon cutting. Danielle Massullo, Sign Language Interpreter, is seen interpreting the words to the audience.

05:15     WVU News/ Mountaineer Playbook
The award-winning "WVU News" by WVU's College of Media students is presented. The newscast won national first place Emmy from the TV Academy in 2015, being named the best college newscast in America. The award-winning "WVU News" program is produced in a hands-on learning environment by students at WVU's College of Media. WVU News" airs statewide on West Virginia PBS as part of "Campus Connection." The newscast won a national first place Emmy from the Television Academy in 2015, being named the best college newscast in America. During the spring 2016 semester, the newscast will air on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and Mondays at 1 p.m. on the following dates
