10th Rowlesburg WW II Living History program on June 27, 2015, are shown. Interviews are with General Hoyer, Woody Williams, Foster Huffman, Noah Blackburn and Chaplain Mick. Program features 12 pictures of WWII Veterans submitted by Kip Price; 9 from Marion Co: Columbus Carpenter, "Sport" Holloway, Fred DeMary, Joe Kapris, John DeMary, Franklin Beaird, Asa Davison, Paul Lawrence, and Pervis Bates. Kip's Dad and Brother Bill and David Price along with Wereth 11 Piedmont hero, Audrey Steward, were also featured. Richard Bentel's picture is also shown.

Highlights include flags flying around Marion County to the music of the Yale University Freshman Class of 2001 singing "The King of Love."

10:47     MEALS ON WHEELS: 05/04/15
Highlights focuses on scenes of volunteers from the Meal on Wheels 42nd Dinner at Knights of Columbus on May 4, 2015. Interviews occur with Skip Delligatti, President and Carolyn Munz, Treasurer. The Madrigals of Fairmont Senior High School, under direction of Greg DeVito, perform three numbers. Bob Cavallo served as the moderator. The Event was dedicated to Bill Barth.

Area. Speaking against was Lee Vincent, Anthony Horton, Debbie Harvey, Daniel Kuneff, and J.P. Phillips. Also passed was a fireworks ordinance with comments from Jr Bennett; salary adjustments, reclassification of certain positions and current pay plan and list of occupational classes for all class titles and employees, school bus stop, burning of trash, & Homebrewers Against Hunger Event Sponsored By The Fairmont Homebrewers Club To Be Held At Palatine Park, Sat. Oct 8.

Mayor Ron Straight acknowledges Purple Hearts Recipients.

Highlights included a Proclamation for "Women on Wellness" that will be presented on Women's health Awareness Day; a Proclamation for "Domestic Violence Awareness Month," and Grant Contract Agreement between Division of Justice and Community Services and Marion County Commission. Tom Martin, representing 4-H, spoke on needs for improvement at the camp and asked for help. Chris McIntire spoke on grant to expand the DHSEM equipment; Amanda Martin and her husband Tim spoke on animal rescue, particularly horses. Charlie Reese shared his report.

Emceed by Dr. Robert Mild, Interim Dean, School of Fine Arts, the Fairmont State Athletic Association Class of 2016 held its Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on Sept. 300, 2016. After opening comments by Tim McNeely, Director of Athletic and welcome by Dr. Maria Rose, President, eight persons were inducted. They were Mike Arcure, Meritorious Service as Athlete, Coach, Supporter; Rick Harris: Emeritus- Baseball, Football, and Swimming (1955-1958); Scott Hernon (Swimming) 1977-1981; Mike Kirby (Wrestling) 1973-1976; Thad McFadden (Men's Basketball) 2008-2009.
