Other interviews included Rebecca Moran, Director, Art in the Park and Chanler Bailey, instructor for the steel drum group of cb studios and by stander Todd Hall. Mr. Bailey discusses Ellie Mannette, father of Steel Drum and the relationship with him. Judy Kay Crisfield Wilson and Kip Price did Sabro Latino music.

Highlights of "Dancing with the Stars" held Oct. 17, 2015 at FSU are shown. Dancers who participated were Ron Pearse and Emily Gallagher, Michael Angelucci and Cathy Reed Vanata, Thomas Board and Gretchen Ross, Will Drennen and Whitney Hatcher, Nick Fantasia and Jessica Sell, Dale Dzielski and Sheena Beto. Choreographers were Teresa Sestito, Sally Morgan, Gina Lodge DeLorenzo, Brian Faulkner, Erin Taylor and Kristi Kiefer. Judges were Dr. Rosemary Thomas, Wendy Welty-Fetsko, and Frank Wood. Rudy and Ginger Zaccagnini were the feature dancers. Nikki Osbourne of the United Way and Tina Shaw of the Chamber hosted the event. The mc's for the evening were Lauren Talotta and Dr. Bob Mild.

Highlights Fairmont City Council's work session to discuss the 10-year update of the City of Fairmont's comprehensive plan. Members of city council, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, senior members of the City, along with speakers Dennis Martinak, Makin Engineering Co Director of Municipal Services, Amy Wiles, Lead Senior Planner of Mackin, and Attorney Jared Anderson of the West Virginia University Law School spoke. Also speaking were Sandra Scaffidi, City Planner and Robin Gomez, City Manager. Some local residents along with Charlies Russell, WVU Law Student at Law Center attended. The comprehensive plan is made up of 13 components: land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, public services, rural, recreation, economic development, community design, preferred development areas, renewal and/or redevelopment, financing and historic preservation. Also discussed at the meeting was what residents, businesses and visitors would like to see in the future in Fairmont. Public meetings will begin in October. In November, recommendations will be developed and stakeholder interviews will be held. In December, priorities will be identified and a public survey will be done. In January 2017, a draft plan will be prepared, and the adoption of the new comprehensive plan will begin.

Highlights include 2 citizens petition: Carolyn Bagwell Field St. on trash around Field St. and Dr. Michael Schroering on requesting money for Fairmont Chamber Music Society. Council approved Makin Engineering Co. to provide its professional services in creating the comprehensive plan update and a Sept. 13 public hearing date for limiting use of consumer fireworks and sparklers in the City of Fairmont.

Highlights included groundbreaking announcement at Palatine Park for the 1.2 million 3 lane boat ramp by the DNR; Sheena Hunt, Executive Director: Region VI Planning & Development Council presented the paperwork for the Colfax PSD small Cities Block Grant; Tim Mitchen, President of the WV Bass Nation, shared announcements of events in October at Palatine; Justin Ray, Field Rep for US Senator Joe Manchin and Hampton Cokeley, field Representative for Sen. Caputo were welcomed. In addition, Columbus Carpenter, Chris McIntire, and John Provins gave reports.
