This Jan. 23, 2015 event include message by Dr. G. Gordon Gee, WVU President and interviews with James Griffin, Brian Floyd, Richard Ketterman, Dr. Paul Edwards, Blair Montgomery, Dr. Doreen Larson, and presentation of awards.

 8:30     WOUNDED WARRIOR PLUNGE:
Highlights include six waves of plungers to support the Wounded Warriors as a project of Central United Methodist Church Jan. 24

 8:54     2014-15 UNITED WAY ANNUAL REPORT:
Highlights of this Jan. 27, 2015 program includes the completed report by Vera Sansalone, Campaign Chair; comments by Toni Ricer, Board President; Bob Hunt for South Fairmont Rotary Festival of Lights; Mary Jo Thomas, income Board president; and Tiffany Samuels, Executive Director. Goal of $425,000 announced as reached.

Highlights includes council members being appointed to committees, citizen's petitions from Kate Green, Main Street director, Lou Spatafore in presenting four American flags (5x8 foot) on behalf of Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society and Bob Gribben for The Excelerator. City Manager Jay Rogers discussed 3rd St. Bridge concern of a core sample, snow problems, new website and utilize the Notify Me system through the city's website.

Highlights includes Solid Waste Authority award to Kyle Hamilton for recycling, new hires, and security report from Chris McIntire.

 3:05     FAIRMONT CITY COUNCIL:     Feb. 11, 2015
Highlights includes City Manager's Jay Rogers General fund budget of $14,360,312, a 2% increase from previous year. Council Members made various comments & Columbus Carpenter requested funds for the Korean War Memorial.

Highlights includes information on exercise, energy, family, shopping online, good cups of coffees, house seller hints, travel, finances and herb and spice oddities.

 4:00     GFCC MEETING WITH FRMC     Jan. 22, 2015
Greater Fairmont Council of Churches held its monthly meeting at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center (FRMC) Comments were shared by Peggy Coster, CEO on status and services. Whitney Hatcher, Director of Community Service, spoke of her work with Chaplain Ken Charles and volunteers for the Gift Shop as well as the Foundation.

Bill Moody, Jennifer Wilson, and the late Jim Shaner are among some of the former Fairmont State Athletes inducted into Hall of Fame.

Highlights includes both personal and public tour by Ned Lutsy of Omni Associates on the new State Office Building Complex, Jan. 27, 2015

 5:19     EXCELERATOR:
Highlights includes visit to the Fairmont Community Development Partnership EXCELERATOR at their Business Incubator Center Feb. 6, and comments with Bob Gribben and tour leader Andrea S, Human Resource Development Manager. Other highlights include FCDP scenes from various projects. Jay Rogers shares the history at the Triplex Groundbreaking in 2013.

Highlights includes recognition for "Save Face" to prevent use of spit tobacco and 11 year old Samantha Crookshanks for gymnastic awards. $11,000 awarded to Fairmont Women's Club for renovations at their clubhouse and for publishing a book.
