of constant fireworks following the relay is seen from the Fairmont
State Campus near the President’s home. A must see for children
and those that participated in the walk. Special music is played by
Kevin McLeod entitled, “Sovereign.” Occasional

On May 30, 2013 the MC Chamber of Commerce and the United Way joined together to launch “Dancing with the Stars” a fundraiser effort for the agency for Oct. 5th at Colebank. 10 selected individuals were paired together. Kelsey Pape of TV 12 interviewed all the participants and I taped their responses, although we do not show their responses. The contestants for the evening are: Sharon Swearingen is teamed with Chuck Jessup; Heather Fitzwater is teamed with Jerrod Calhoun; Mary Jo Thomas is teamed with George Levitsky; Dixie Yann is teamed with Bill Holmes; and Christy Miller Is teamed with Jonathan Rider. Today you’ll see highlight of the selection of the couples, and a brief preview of their dancing skills; interviews with Tiffany Samuel, director of United Way and then with dance coaches, Eileen Frank and Theresa Sestito. Eileen Frank will be the dance instructor for Mary Jo Thomas and George Levitsky and Theresa will coach Dixie Yann and Bill Holmes.
