 7:00 WVU Basketball Players for support of the Marion Co. United Way
Mountaineer Basketball Players along with Coach Eric Martin come to West Fairmont Middle School to do a clinic for students and support the Marion County United Way efforts of raising $450,000 for 2012-13 under direction of Tiffany Samuels, United Way director. Some of the players attending were: Jabarie Hines, Kevin Noreen, Keaton Miles, Jarar Armstead, Eron Harris, Arie Dickerson, Gary Bowne, Ted Henderson and Aric Herring. Many drills are shown and interview with former West Fairmont and Marshall University star Deon Dobbs is shared.
 
7:26  Dedication of Water Treatment Plant: August 20
Ribbon cutting for the Water Treatment Plant is celebrated with honors and recognition. Shawn Garvin, EPA Regional Manager presents City with the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Award for Sustainable Public Health Protection, one of the highest award a city can receive. David Sago, Public Utility Manager and Chip West, Manager of the Plant, are interviewed on the success of the water system for Fairmont. The program consists of comments from Jay Rogers, city manager; Bill Burdick, mayor; and Bob DeCrease of the WV Bureau of Public Health
 
 8:18 How Marion County responds to Emergencies
A very informative program on Marion County’s ability to respond to emergencies is presented. Interviews are conducted with Lloyd White, Marion County Health Department Director, and Jamie Moore, Public Health Emergency Coordinator in Biological, Chemical, Nuclear, and Radiological Disasters. Also interviewed are Chris McIntire, director of Office of Emergency Services/Director of Homeland Security, Carolyn Ledsome, director of 911 Call Center, and comments by Joe Masturzo
 
9:00  Reunion Highlights of 105thMorgan Morgan & St. Peters High School
Highlights of St. Peters High School Reunion are: Greg Kropog talking about PFC Joseph Sell, Jr.; Maureen Kennedy Wolfe, class of 1945, Peggy Kennedy Mauney, class of 1948, and Richard Kennedy, class of 1948. Cecily Enos introduces Saturday’s program, Organizer George Dragich speaks and introduces Mo-Town Strutters that features Ida Manella Everhart. A skit by Tom Dragich as Monsignor and Linda Beccaloni McClung as Sister Bea conclude St. Peter’s Reunion.
Highlights of the 105th Morgan Morgan Reunion features interviews with Jim Rote, owner of the George Pickney Morgan house and the restoration efforts on it. An interview with former Delegate Paul Prunty reveals his successful efforts in saving the home from demolition. Renowned bronze sculptor Jamie Lester discusses his work on Zackquill Morgan, founder of Morgantown, as the reunion. Jonathan Turner sings song, “My Mongahela,” from a song by Bill Prunty, adapted by Bob Ellis.
           
9:30  Telltale Lilac Bush: Adaption of stories from the book by Dr. Ruth Ann Musick. This is the first of 4 tales around a roaring camp fire with introduction by Matt Wilson.

9:43  St. Paul’s Backpack Giveaway: Aug. 25. Life United Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Campus, has a free giveaway of backpacks, complete with an outdoor fair and indoor worship. Rev. Larry Buckland is interviewed along with Carol McCormick and student

9:56  the Baptist Temple Free Giveaway Aug. 25. Highlights include comments from 6 shoppers and Baptist Temple volunteers Gary Deavers and Butch Kisner.
10:10 Dedication of Health Dep’t Building: Sept. 14. Highlights are comments from Randy Elliott, County Commissioner; Bill Burdick, Fairmont Mayor; and Lloyd White, Director of Health Dept. Some old vintage photographs are shown, a tour of the building is taken, and Jamie Moore discusses his room.

10:30 Convention & Visitors Center Yearly Meeting, Sept. 13: Highlights feature interviews with Marianne Moran, director; Sen. Roman Prezioso, Tourism Person of the Year; Dora Grubb, House Tours of the Historical Society; Mickey Heston, New Business of the Year; and Kenny Sabo, Restaurant of the Year (Say-Boy Steak House). Rita Veasey discusses her parents being the supervisors of the old Marion County Children’s Shelter which houses the new CVB and Parks and Recreation Building now.

11:05 9-11 Worship, Honoring 1st Responders: First Presbyterian hosted this special worship featuring a joint choir under the direction of John Morrison with Allen Keener playing the piano on “One Song.” Over 40 first responders are honored by Lloyd White, Marion County Health Department Director, and D.D. Meighen.

11:40 Monongahfest: Aug. 25. Danielle Williams, hula-hoop fire expert, demonstrates her skills. Kelly Horton and Dietta Goush are interviewed on their special cause; and the Band of Jim and Eric Pulice, Greg Patrick and Ron Yanero perform two selections.

4:00  Black Heritage Festival in Clarksburg: Sept. 8. Highlights were Old School Band and the original Marcell Blue Moon Group. Interviewed were Israel Harkless and Franklin Lewis II. Young dancers LaKita Chandler of Columbus, Ohio and Olivia Spino of Clarksburg are featured.
  
4:57  Digital Citizenship: Internet drama/destruction/Death.
A special program developed by Renee Verbanic, a peer meditator, teacher and an MSW, leads this special bullying and anti bullying session. Interviews are with Charles “Chuck” Funk, a special singer and teacher on anti-bullying who worked for years with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. Yarrow’s special song, “Don’t Laugh at Me” has become the National Anthem of Anti-bullying and is utilized by over 2,800 schools in America. With many sponsors, the IRespect Program, now being used in County Schools across WV, is introduced by Dr. Charles Higgins, Associate Professor, Specialist for Extension and Youth 4-H in WV with positive youth development and David Hartley, WVU Extension Agent for Preston County 4-H youth development programs. Jalen Lee and Cathy Reed are also introduced.

Elise Neal of First Presbyterian; a special reading from Carolyn Davis at the Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program at the National Guard Armory on Sept. 14th , comments from Rev. Jim Zinn on being named chaplain for the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Fayette County, WV next year, my comments on the proposed selling of Life United Methodist Church, Faith Campus, and yearly dinner on Nov. 15th at Knights of Columbus featuring speaker, Senator Roman Prezioso.
