7:00 am - Women's Health Awareness Day
Women's Health Awareness Day celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an array of speakers and interviews held at Fairmont General Hospital on Oct. 2.

7:44 am - Barbershop Quartet Concert: EFHS
Barbershop Quartet Concert at East Fairmont High School features show tunes, patriotic songs, and fun selections sung by the Mountaineers Barbershop Quartet.

9:32 am - Fall in Fairmont & Marion County
Fall in Fairmont & Marion County.  With special music, several fall scenes around Fairmont as well as portions of the Connector history.

10:01 am - Marion County Commission
A basketball clinic held at Fairmont East High School by members of staff and basketball team was captured in the aftermath of signing autographs and getting interviews.  Players such as D'Shaun Butler and Welling Smith along with assistant coach Brown were interviewed.

11:00 am - First Presbyterian Church Worship
First Presbyterian Church Worship on 10-26-09 features a 500 year old worship with Dr. John Calvin presiding.  Interim minister Dr. Bill Sadler dresses in costume to portray Calvin.  The Choir and Congregation sings songs of that era, and a rich appreciation of historical worship is felt.

12:00 pm - Bernie McGrenaham
Bernie McGrenaham spoke at Fairmont State on Sept. 15, 2009.  This comedian, who has appeared on Jay Leno, David Letterman, and opens for Tony Danza, not only does comedy but speaks about his addiction to alcohol and presenting a message of honesty to students and young adults.  He tells the touching story of working with his brother in a group home.  This program will make you laugh and cry.

12:30 pm - Christmas Toy Shop
This fast moving 18 minute program highlights the special effort being made throughout Fairmont and Marion County to provide each child with a good Christmas.  Schools, churches, and groups are organizing to furnish previously loved and new toys so every child in Marion County can have something under the Christmas tree.  Watch the gripping story of Rev. James Saunders about his early Christmas and then Randy Elliott explains the work of the County Commisssion in this endeavor.

2:13 pm - Cultural Diversity Program
Cultural Diversity Program on 10-21-07.  Highlights of the previous Cultural Diversity Program that featured persons of the Islam and Hindu faith, African-American heritage, and Appalachian tradition.  Sample foods from native lands are presented as well as dress and dance.  This years superb program by Communities of Shalom will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the ISR Building (now the High Technology Research Building).

The Jim Dunn Memorial Scholarship Run is presented.  Interviews with North Marion stars Keri BLand of WVU who placed in the national NCAA and Olympic Trails; and state Winner Zach Tennant, who will be attending William and Mary in the Colonial Athletic Conference.

5:49 pm - All Things New Ministry
A ministry of Union Mission held at the intersection of Locust and Field Street on Oct. 22, 2009.

5:56 pm - Literacy in Fairmont: Master Gardeners
Reading to the children at the Main Street Downtown Fairmont Literacy Reading Day

6:06 pm - Fairmont Council of Churches - debut
What local Churches in the Council are doing to assist people in need and what services are being offered.  Interviews with Bill Sadler on the special Shoe Ministry at First Presbyterian and a special intercessory Monday prayer group is discussed by Rev. John Riley.  All the churches in the Council are introduced to the community.

West Virginia University students produce this 15 minute professional news program that is shown Sundays on WWVU-TV and then daily on Channel 19.  Through the efforts of Gina Dahlia, this production has captured national awards.
