This third program features the role of the Fairmont Marion County Transit Authority serving the citizens of Marion County. Today, the Grey Lines is presented. This daily bus lines runs from Fairmont to Morgantown and Pittsburgh. David Bruffy, General Manager, Grey Lines and President of the West Virginia Transportation Association, will share many thoughts about this. He will then join George Levitsky, General Manager, Fairmont-Marion County Transit Authority, as they discuss West Virginia Public Transportation at the BC Bank. We’ll also talk to David Stump, the bus driver from Reedsville.
7:35 am - DEDICATION & OPEN HOUSE OF YOUTH ACADEMY
This youth academy concentrates on drug and substance abuse. Interviews are with Matt Kittle, principal; Dr. David Bonasso, founder and Board Member; Steve Fairley, Executive Director; Carly Chickerell, Pat Harah, and introductions of some of the staff. In addition the program is presented which includes comments by David Lester, Governor Joe Manchin, and Dr. Ron Pearse.

This first series of our Public Library features a tour of some of the Library facilities with Erika Reed, Library Director. She shares interesting and informative insights concerning the internet stations, audio and video sections, income tax assistance, the children’s room, and the all important Library access to the Marlo database system. Also discussed with pictures are the Fairview and Mannington Branch Library and the Bookmobile. Brief interviews are conducted with two users of the Library: Joshua McKinney on the internet and Barbara Guthrie on book reading.

The Run to Read Half Marathon at Prickett’s Fort to benefit the Literacy Volunteers of Marion County will be presented. On a damp and cold Saturday, our cameras follow the runners from the start to the finish, through the Meredith Tunnel, and along the trail. We’ll talk with runners from all over America and West Virginia.

Most of the Marion County Candidates elected to public office were sworn in on Wed., Dec. 17th at the Court House. Even though some swearing ins were ceremonial, this well attended event featured comments by newly elected Supreme Court Justice Menis Ketchum and Secretary of State Natalie Tennant. John Perdue speaks briefly. My mistake in filming failed to capture the swearing in of Delegate Longstreth and Caputo.
