Highlights of the Fairmont March on Jan. 21, 2017 to support the Women's March in Washington are shown. Interviewed was C'Anna Keffer, one of the coordinators along with Dani DeVito. Others interviewed were Ashley Summers, WVU Student; Royce Lyden, Communities of Shalom; and children Lucy Sole and Jordan Lee. The March is seen at 3 locations as well as at the Courthouse.

Highlights include comments by Dora Grubb, President; invocation by DD Meighen; history by Dan Weber; Francis & Julia Pierpont represented by Art & Pam Dodds; cutting of cake by President Dr. Johnny Moore of Pierpont Community & Technical College; Tyler Chadwell, Adjunct Professor at Fairmont State who presented their research on economic sustainability through heritage tourism as part of the ARC Appalachian Teaching Project. Kip Price mentions Johnnie Johnson, a Congressional Gold Medal Recipient. WV Senator Bob Beech mentions project he helped fund; Leisha Elliott discusses CVB; Marion County Commissioner Rick Garcia speaks, and Travis Henline discusses his role as Francis Pierpont at Governor Jim Justice's inauguration.

8:26     Mountaineer Food Bank
Highlights include scenes of free food being distributed to the public at Palatine Park on Wed., Feb. 1, 2017. Comments from Tambra of the Mountaineer Food Bank and food recipient Tammy Phillips are shared. Scenes of the crowd, volunteers, and organizers are shown. According to J. Chad Morrison, executive director of the Mountaineer Food Bank in Gassaway, WV, they distribute over 44,000 meals daily. In 2016, they distributed 11,420,000 meals (13.7 million pounds of food) through their network. Networks such as Veterans Food pantry, School Food and Mobile Pantries, the MFB has become well positioned to pushed forward the hunger gap in WV

8:38     Human Rights March:
Human Rights March in Fairmont on Feb. 4, 2017 is featured. Main Interviews is shown with Warren Hilsbos, organizer. Comments are also given by 3 participants: Doris Bumgartner, Tabitha from southern WV, Stephanie King Strickland, Steven King, and Tracey Beall. March begins at the welcoming Visitors Center and stops at Veterans Square where immigrants fought in wars. Reading of sonnet," The New Colossus" by American poet Emma Lazarus (1849-1887) written in 1883 to raise money for the construction of the Statue of Liberty pedestal was read. March concludes back at welcoming center. DD reads prayer from Bishops of the Northeastern Jurisdiction Conference of the UM Church

Program highlights from Morgantown Met Theatre includes a welcome by co-chairs Susan Brown & Rosa Becker, Community Coalition for Social Justice and Mayor Marti Shamberger; 3 songs by Al Albertson & Friends (This is the Day, Down by the Riverside, Through It All); The WVU Community Orchestra under the direction ofJuliana Cantarelli Vita perform "Libertango" and "The 'Little' Rhapsody in Blue;" Matt Solomon discusses "Police Officers are Peace officers;" Morgantown Children's Choir under the direction of Leticia Grutzmann performs "Amavolovolo, Zulu Dowry Song and Why We Sing;" Recitation by Jeremy Thomas on Dr. King's speech "Where Do We go From Here?;" Two songs by Cheat Lake Elementary School Choir under direction of Mrs. Jennifer Connoley, "Blackbird" and "Sing About Martin" and the finale, "Lift Every Voice and Sing." The end includes music in the lobby from Mike Attfield and Doug Wiley on "Liberty and Mississippi Sawyer" with scenes of the program. Program was sponsored by the Coalition of Social Justice and Main Street Morgantown.

Lynette Swiger presents a one person show of legendary dulcimer legend Patty Looman. She discusses her relationship to Looman, her relationship to Russell Fluharty, and then performs music in the style of Looman and Fluharty.
