2nd SHOW Program highlights 2 anthems: “Someone Is There” from Jan. 31st and “Sing Unto the Lord” from Jan. 17. Cathie Bird is pianist/organist and choir director and choir members are Rick & Lorinda Howard, Bill & Ruth Stockwell Trina Cole, Emily Dadisman, Elizabeth Hupp, Mike Bergen, Carol Ann Simonyi & Keith Wright. Message is from Jeremiah 1:4-10 and Luke 4: 21-30 on “Being Chosen. Interviews are conducted with Dan Kimble, Executive Director for the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce; Mike Mosser, Empty Bowl Board Member; Jerry Hoyt, fundraiser; Cathy Powell, special event coordinator and Ruth Stockwell, Church Member in charge of Decorations. Other highlights include counting soup cans for Scott’s Run Settlement House and the Valentine and Souper Bowl Dinner in Fellowship Hall with Tom Simonyi playing the piano. Megan Hudock of WBOY-TV, Jennifer Armstrong and Carolyn Goldstein of WVU-TV also filmed the event for TV News. Bill Stockwell is seen taking Holy Communion to shut-in Alma Schultz and comments from her on the meaning of life.

07:29     FRANCIS PIERPONT BIRTHDAY
Highlights of Francis Pierpont Day held Feb. 1, 2016 by the Marion County Historical Society at MCVB include Interviews with Travis Henline, Site Manager for WV Independence Hall Museum in Wheeling, Margaret Brennan, Historian Independent Contractor; Art and Pam Dodd representing Governor Francis & Mrs. Julia Pierpont; and Dora Kay Grubb, Executive Director of the Marion County Historical Society. Presentations made by Dr. Daniel Webster on the history of Francis Pierpont; Rev. Richard Bowyer on the obituary of Pierpont; Resolution for sign read by Ernie VanGilder, President, Marion County Commission; and presentation of Pierpont Statue was given to Grubb and Dr. Dale Bradley, Interim President Pierpont Community & Technical College by Henline and Dr. JoAnn Lough, Historian and Reenactor. Dulcimer Music was provided by Jeff Fedan: "Soldier's Joy." There was the cutting of cake and comments from Blair Montgomery, former President.

Highlights of this Feb. 6, 2016 meeting includes discussions with Shanequa Smith, PhD Candidate in WVU Human & Community Development; Dr. Margaret Stout, Associate Professor, Division of Public Administrator, and Dr. Elizabeth Oppe, Assistant Professor, Reed College of Media, School of Journalism, Donnie Hatheway, WVU Senior Colin Jones- stakeholder - Frank Hines was his model and inspiration; Diamond Brown, community organizer; Houston Richardson, Stakeholder; and Rev. Kevin Carpenter.

09:02      JESUS COMES TO MORGANTOWN
Highlights of this poem envisions Jesus and Disciples coming to Morgantown on Grey Lines, spending the night on Riverfront Trail, preaching at the Courthouse, being sentenced and sent to Dorsey Knob to be removed from town and the lessons learned from the six themes of the Easter narrative.

09:11     CHARLESTON-2015
On March 2, 2015 six people from the Greater Fairmont Council of Churches went to Charleston to visit our Delegates and Senators. Those attending were Rev. Elsie Neal, Cathy & Phil Reed, Bishop Galen Hansen, Gary Jack, & DD Meighen. Our delegation visited in the House and Senate Gallery, the Senate Judiciary Committee, Joey Garcia (Governor’s Legislative Liaison) and the West Virginia Cultural Center.

09:39     FRN HEROES
Highlights of this Feb. 27, 2016 program include recognition of 4 Marion County residents labeled as “heroes” by the Marion County Family Resource Network. These are Colleen Morris, Director of the Mannington Food Pantry; Kim Berry-Baker, constituent case work in Senator Joe Manchin’s office; U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, and Rev. D.D. Meighen. Frank Jarman, Executive Director of the Marion County FRN, serves as the Master of Ceremonies. The Fairmont State Jazz Band provides the music. Presenters include Nicki Osbourne, Executive Director, Marion County United Way Director, For Colleen Morris; Ron Straight, Mayor of Fairmont, for D.D. Meighen; Judge Michael Aloi, Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of WV, for Kim Berry-Baker; Grant Smith, Fairmont Regional Medical Center, presenting Natalie Tennant, Secretary of State, who introduces Justin Ray, Regional Coordinator for U.S. Senator Joe Manchin who read a letter from him. Special recognition was given to Toni Ballenger, volunteer with United Way & Marion County FRN

10:42     SCHOOL BUS SAFETY
Highlights of School Bus Safety, both for students and drivers, are portrayed through these training and instructional DVDs.

11:16      MISCELLANEOUS
Highlights of four events are shown: the snows of Jan. 22-23; interview with Hoppy Kerchival; interview with David Cox, the good Samaritan of Snow Shoveling; and the new overlook at Palatine Park.

Highlights of 116 scenes are shown, from Monongah, Fairmont, and other towns to state archives of school pictures.

Highlights include much discussion on vital service levy, John Manchin Health Care Clinic, and free gift of 4 Humvees by Chief Steve Sines, Lieutenant J. Murphy and Council Members.

01:12     COUNTY COMMISSION: 02/10/16
Highlights include Tim Mitchen, WV Bass Nation; Upper Mon River Association Lloyd White of the Marion County Health Department spoke on the reduction in their budget buy the State of West Virginia and Consolidation Session of health Departments. Columbus Carpenter stated that he would like to have the Commission donate 3 foot by 5 foot all weather flags for the Avenue of Flags at Grandview Cemetery. Chris McIntire stated that in 2015 the 911 Center took over 275,000 calls. Belinda Biafore shared that Schauenburg Corporation has moved their corporate office to Marion County to Grant District.

The video of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand is shown of these leaders of the faith in Eastern Europe where labor camps and torture did not stop them from professing and sharing their faith. The Story is told from them and by through interviews with their son Mithai and rare footage is also inserted.
